Western New York road salt and brine eat frames, rocker panels, brake lines and floor pans from underneath, where you never see it until the inspection fails. Undercoating puts a barrier between the salt and the steel. Quoted by vehicle after a look underneath.
Erie County goes through months of rock salt and liquid brine every winter. Brine is worse than salt: it is sprayed as a liquid, sticks to everything underneath, creeps into seams and stays active long after the roads are dry. The result is the rusted rocker panels, frame rails, brake lines and subframes that fail a New York inspection or kill a truck's resale value. A ceramic coating protects the paint you can see; undercoating protects the steel you cannot.
A self-healing oil film that creeps into seams and displaces moisture. Reapplied each fall. Best for vehicles with existing surface rust.
Underbody fully cleaned and degreased, then coated frame, floor pans, rockers, wheel wells and suspension.
Undercoating plus PPF on the front end and a ceramic coating: the whole vehicle protected before its first winter.
Pricing depends on vehicle size, lift height and how much existing rust has to be treated first, so we quote after a look underneath. Send your year, make and model and we will give you a range the same day.
On the lift, we check for existing rust, scale, and damaged lines. You get photos of what is under there and a straight recommendation.
Pressure wash and degrease the entire underside. Undercoating sprayed over salt and grime traps moisture against the steel, which is worse than nothing.
The underbody is fully dried so the product bonds to bare metal and factory e-coat, not to a film of water.
Exhaust, brake rotors, driveshaft, sensors and moving parts are masked. Nothing ends up on the paint.
Product is applied with wands that reach inside frame rails, rockers and seams, not just what you can see from underneath.
Vehicle sits until the product tacks. You get a note on what to expect (light odor for a day or two on oil-based products) and when to come back.
All work is done in our studio at 503 Erie St in Lancaster, NY, about 15 minutes east of downtown Buffalo off the 33 and the 90. Controlled lighting and a clean, climate-stable bay are what make undercoating come out right, so we do not do this work in driveways.
Send your year, make and model and the service you want. Quotes start from the published price list and usually come back the same day.
