Paint protection film is an 8-mil clear urethane with a self-healing top coat. Light scratches and swirls in the film disappear with heat from the sun or warm water. Rock chips, sandblasting from the 90 and the 33, salt, bug acid and parking-lot scuffs hit the film instead of the paint. Removed years later, the paint underneath looks the day it was filmed. A ceramic coating on top keeps the film slick and easy to clean.

Inspection and pattern
We confirm the exact trim, sensors and badges and pull the STEK pattern for your vehicle. Anything that needs correction first is flagged now.

Decontamination
Full wash, iron remover and clay. Film laid over contamination shows every speck and lifts early.

Paint correction
Level 1 polish on the panels being filmed so the film preserves a flawless finish, not swirls.

Plotter cut
Patterns are computer-cut in the studio. No blades on your paint.

Install
Slip solution, squeegee, edges wrapped where the pattern allows. Headlights, mirror caps and badges handled individually.

Cure and inspection

How much does paint protection film cost in Buffalo, NY?
STEK PPF at Immaculate Detailing is a flat rate by coverage, not by vehicle size: Bumper $750, Partial Front $1,250, Full Front $2,150 and Track Package $2,850. Full-body coverage, rockers, door edges and door cups are quoted per vehicle. Every price includes the decontamination and a Level 1 polish on the filmed panels.
How long does PPF last?
STEK film carries a 10-year manufacturer warranty against yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling. With normal care (hand or rinseless washing, no pressure washer on the edges, a ceramic coating on top is a plus) the film typically outlasts the warranty.
Is PPF worth it on a new car?
New is the best time. Film installed before the first winter means the factory paint underneath is what gets preserved, which matters for resale and lease turn-in. Vehicles arrive from transport with contamination and often pick up swirls in dealer prep, so we correct the paint first and then film the impact zones.
Does paint protection film self-heal?
Yes. Light scratches and swirls in the top coat of STEK film close up with heat from the sun, a warm garage or warm water. Deep gouges and rock strikes that would have chipped the paint are absorbed by the film and may leave a mark in the film itself; that panel can be re-filmed without touching the paint.
PPF or ceramic coating: which one do I need?
They do different jobs. PPF is a physical barrier that stops rock chips and scratches; a ceramic coating is a chemical barrier that makes the surface slick, glossy and resistant to salt and wash chemicals. Most Western New York daily drivers do PPF on the front end and a ceramic coating over the whole car, including over the film.
Can you see the film? Will it yellow?
Gloss STEK film is invisible on the paint when installed properly; the only sign is a very fine edge line where a pattern ends. Our Full Front package avoids a line across the hood by covering the whole panel. The film is UV stable and warranted against yellowing for 10 years. Old-generation and bargain films are what gave PPF its yellowing reputation.
How long does installation take and can I drive right away?
Partial Front is usually one day, Full Front and Track Package are two days including the correction. You can drive home the same day the film is finished. Do not wash the vehicle for 7 days and keep pressure washers away from the film edges after that.
Where are you located?
The studio is at 503 Erie St, Lancaster, NY 14086, about 15 minutes from downtown Buffalo. Film is installed in a clean, enclosed bay; dust and temperature matter, so PPF is never installed mobile.
